Two Poems I Really Love:

HEAVEN'S VERY SPECIAL CHILD

A meeting was held quite far from Earth.
It was time again for another birth.
Said the Angels to the Lord above --

"This special child will need much love.
His progress may be very slow,
Accomplishment he may not show.
And he'll require extra care
From the folks he meets down there.
So, let's be careful where he's sent.

... We want his life to be content.
Please, Lord, find the parents who
Will do a special job for you.
They will not realize right away
The leading role they are asked to play.

But with this child sent from above
Comes stronger faith, and richer love.

And soon they'll know the privilege given
In caring for their gift from heaven.
Their precious charge, so meek and mild
Is heaven's very special child."
MANY KINDS OF ANGELS

There are many kinds of angels.
Some have robes & golden wings.
But some angels live among us
Who are known for other things.

These angels make no music
They don't sing or even talk,
Their dance is far from graceful,
And some angels cannot walk.

... Restless hands can paint no pictures,
Play no harps, yet all the while,
Angels voices chime with laughter,
Every face glows with a smile.

These angels need our love & caring.
Those laughing hearts are not alone.
To learn, to grow, in health & comfort,
Each has an angel of their own.

I had a dream that all the angels
Danced & sang for all they're worth.
I know they will someday in heaven,
But in my dream, they sang on Earth.

Tristan had surgery last Thursday May 10th to stitch up the hole in his stomach where his feeding tube was and it hasnt been healing correctly because we have to keep it wrapped up so he doesnt itch and dig at it, so yesterday we had a follow-up appointment to get it looked at and the decided he has to be in arm splints and keep his stomach unwrapped to help promote healing (and to dry out). So now my poor baby is in arm splints for atleast the next 3 days and cant feed himself or even put his binkie in his mouth :( but this mama is enjoying the cuddle time with her little man. He has been so independent the last several months on self feeding, it "odd" getting to hold him and snuggle to give his a bottle without him struggling to get down.

Tristan is so easy going and doesn't seem to mind anything mama or dada do ( as long as he thinks he is in control, lol). He got his Sure Steps (shoes) to help his with balance and walking and when he seems them now he smiles and holds his foot up for you to put them on him and now is doing the same with his arm splints, whcih makes this so much easier because I was so worried he would hate them and it would be a horrible weekend!

We went to visit Great Grandma, Uncle Mark adn Shelby (Their Horse) today and Tristan and Abby had such a wonderful time! We played outside, pet and fed the horse, ran the yard, and we all ate ice cream ;)

Tristan Loves sitting in the grass and running his hands through it and everytime the wind picked up his arms would go straight in the air with a huge smile and giggle. I love spending time with my kids and seeing the joy and excitemnet out of the small things in life, like sitting on the ground eating ice cream and making a huge mess, lol, or chancing the dog around the yard just to get a kiss, but we had an awesome day and they got so worn out they are now napping!
